Our Story

The Story Behind The Big Dig

Born from a passion for inclusive play and a belief that every child deserves to explore, create, and celebrate.

Meet Courteney

The Sensory Sandbox was born from a simple belief: every child deserves to play, explore, and celebrate — no matter their abilities.

Founded by Courteney Shrouder in Dallas, Georgia, The Big Dig Sensory Village brings hands-on sensory play experiences directly to families' homes across Paulding County and the surrounding areas.

What started as a passion for inclusive play has grown into a mobile sensory party business that gives kids the freedom to dig, build, discover, and create — all while developing important sensory and motor skills.
